Where have we lost our sense of humanity? Are humans to be used and abused? We don't do these sort of things to animals, let alone another human beings. But, we have subhumans living amongst humans who exploit other fellow human beings recklessly.

i've watched reports on al jazeera about the miserable and dangerous conditions immigrant workers live in when in developing countries eg malaysia. it was absolutely sickening. the agents cheat these workers, and when they arrive in malaysia, they get treated like dirt.
i seriously am for migrant workers. kalau orang malaysia dah tak nak kerja kat construction site, kalau diorang malas sangat nak kerja sebagai janitor, kalau diorang are too proud, them let them be jobless and give these low skilled manual labour jobs to the immigrants. lagipun, not all of them are crooks and rapists such as our bigoted ministers want us to believe.
i absolutely despise the treatment of foreigners like shit. i cannot accept it, because i know how it feels like when people spit at you, throw cigarette buds at you, simply because you are a foreigner. i don't know if you experienced any racial attacks while you were in london, but in liverpool, i have had the odd swear word shouted at me. and what for? i'm just a student. i'm not responsible for the bombings in london, or during 9/11.
it's the same principle when it comes to foreign workers in malaysia. if we hate foreign workers so much, let's see if households can cope without the indonesian maids. the thousands and thousands.
these foreigners are humans too at the end of the day. in my family, we treat our indonesian maid like family.
that's the problem with orang malaysia ni. we think that because our country is better than theirs, we can treat them like shit. bukan nak cakap apa ah, and i'm not about to start a racist rant here, but the two culprits who treat foreigners like shit are the malays and the chinese. the indians are more gentle and humble when dealing with foreigners.

I am totally against racist treatments of any individual. Frankly speaking, I did however, until recently look down on them to some extent due to the obvious, but I would never treat them less than my own kind.
However, I got to know a few of them somehow through my daily going abouts and it changed my perception 180 degrees.
I felt guilty having felt more superior than them in the past in which I must say is my fault and my own weakness.
Now I no longer look down nor have superior feelings compared to these foreign workers. As a matter of fact, I feel that they have sacrificed a lot before they embark on a journey thousands of miles away from home only trying to make a decent living. The courange and the hardship they went through, I could never imagine. Thus they are perhaps more deserving of respect than any of us.
No, I was never mistreated. I was perhaps rather fortunate when I left London, the world trade bombing hadnt taken place. I would know how things would've unfolded had I remained there.
